READINESS
XI
CODA

Proof? Hell, no, I'll never be able to prove it. Even to state the suspicion itself would probably get me committed, or strongly urged to try a few months of Prozac. There isn't any proof. But luckily I'll never have to prove it. All I'll have to do is write it. And I can. It's ready now. All the details have fallen into place. It's ready. I sit here, ready to start. I bought this Johnny Walker Red to celebrate everything falling together, ready to start. Once its done, once he sees I know him for what he is, he'll be finished. He tried to tear out my talent and suck at the wound, but I've bested him. I've won! All that remains is to begin.

It comes down, at last, to one person, alone, sitting before a blank page, a blank screen, a blank canvas, an empty stage --- a person, completely alone, determined to make something in that void. An I cn do it, too! I'll make a book s'solid, s'sharp it'll be a stake through 'is black, soulsucking heart! I'll reveal 'm as he is, an' he will shrivel inno a breeze-blown trickle of dust. He never took my talent. Once those words are ready, I'm gonna Nail Him Good! You'll see...
