"Twelve Angry Men"
Your Theatre's current show in their 67th season is "Twelve Angry Men". The show is set in the 1950's. Twelve men retire to the jury room to consider the fate of a 16 year old murdering his father. If found guilty he will receive the mandatory death sentence. It looks like an open and shut case until one of the jurors opens their eyes. The jury is told they must come up with a unanimous verdict and 11 of the jury vote guilty on the first ballot. Juror # 8 feels he cannot vote guilty because he has reasonable doubts about the facts of the case. "Suppose we're wrong" he says? But personal it becomes as each of them reveals their own character. Together they bitterly struggle with each other, becoming 12 angry men, they argue about: the murder weapon, the angle of the wound, the testimony of the eye witnesses, and the emotions and prejudices of the individual jurors until all are convinced of a reasonable doubt or not
