Avner The Eccentric.............Avner Eisenberg

One of the joys of this collection of mime/clown/juggling bits is that the performer himself enjoys his own work, looking at it with the audience. He does 23 tricks with his bowler hat in only a minute or two, balances things on his nose (and much bigger things on his chin!), fools around with an audience-member or two, exposes some of his own magic tricks --- and, through it all, watches himself with us, amazed and amused.

Avner is a tall man made entirely of limp spaghetti who pretends to be whiling away the five minutes before his Real show begins. When someone comes in late, he obligingly delivers a quick-step summary of the show to date. He has a difficult time relating to inanimate objects, and that hat keeps falling off in the most inopportune moments.

It is the premise of the show that the opposite of "gravity" must of course be "levity" and this silent, rubberfaced performer is irresistable.

Love,
